She is survived by two stepbrothers, Rouben and George, whom she loved dearly. Peggy married Edward Shishmanian and they had three sons – Arthur, Alfred and Aram. She lived in London, Tehran, Kuwait and the South of France which she was particularly fond of.

Peggy was a devoted to her Armenian identity and played an active role in the community including serving as Chairlady of the AGBU Ladies Committee for a number of years.
Peggy had a magnetic personality with an inimitable zest for life and was generous with her love. She was the proud grandmother of; Amanda, Edward, Kevala, Natasha, Nectar, Olivia, Philip, Sebastian and Theodore and also of her great grandchildren; Noah and Eli.
